Over the past year Frodsham Forward’s Economic Thematic Group have been working towards the potential delivery of a reward scheme for consumer businesses in Frodsham, Helsby and the surrounding parishes in the hope of rewarding existing customers, attracting new customers, securing the future of local businesses and helping local community groups. The work began last year when local consultancy Brian Roberts Associates carried out a feasibility study into a reward scheme for the area. After consultation with local businesses and consumers it was established that such a scheme is viable and in the ensuing months research was carried out and a business plan developed. The team at Frodsham Forward, in conjunction with Brian Roberts Associates and Savvy UK, is now about to set about implementing a 12 month pilot scheme that will hopefully see the involvement of many local consumer led businesses from sectors including retail, leisure and hospitality and service provision. The next step the team will be taking is to hold a Reward Scheme meeting on Tuesday 24th April at 5pm in Castle Park House, followed by visits to individual businesses on Wednesday 25th April and host a drop in session on Thursday 26th April when any local business that wants to be involved can call in any time during the day.
